Eric Pye has been a student of the game for over 25 years now. From his beginnings as a seven year old in novice to his five years of Junior A hockey with Sault Ste. Marie Thunderbirds (NOJHL), South Muskoka Shield (GMHL), and the Lindsay Muskies (OPJHL), Eric has been all over Canada chasing his dream to be the best goaltender he can be. He has been a top 10 goaltender in every Junior A league he has played in. He has been fortunate enough to have had 3 exceptional goalie coaches over his career - Scott Sutton, Kevin Hodson and Nolan McDonald. Eric has won numerous awards as a goaltender; NBIAA Goalie of the Year, NBIAA Provincial High School Championship, a GMHL Championship and two runner-up awards for Goalie of the Year for the South Muskoka Shield and the Sault Ste. Marie Thunderbirds. Eric holds the record for most wins in a single GMHL season with 26 and the 2nd most wins in South Muskoka Shield franchise history with 45.
Eric has been and instructor of young goaltenders for the past twelve years; helping out goalies on a volunteer basis and running weekend goalie clinics. Eric works with several hockey organizations during the winter and summer on a volunteer basis.
